Post subject: Red Spurge |
The Red Spurge or Tabaiba Roja (Euphorbia atropurpurea) is a very attractive member of the spurge family, which has many representatives growing well on the Canary Islands, including some rare endemic species. Red Spurge isn't rare as yet but nevertheless is a protected species on a regional level and is listed in Annexe II of the Flora Order.
Red Spurge grows in Masca, Santiago del Teide, Tamaimo, Adeje and Guia de Isora among other locations and stands out with its red-purple flowers.
