 Post subject: SPEED CAMERAS |

I got a speeding fine to say I was doing 36mph in a 30 on a road in Rawdon (Leeds) on a saturday .
For the life in me i couldnt remember going on that road so I asked for photo evidence . And sure enough it was the back of my car on that road , so I paid the fine and got the points .
months later in the evening news theres been an artical about that speed camera , and everyone that has been caught on it has been doing 36mph , nothing above or below .
It turns out that the road is a 40mph and always has been so they have to pay out everyone who has been wrongly caught and fined .
One bloke who was caught with it lost his car , job ,house through it so he has a big pay out to come eh .  |

we had one like that at a set of level crossings, saying that people were doing well over the limit, ...... well if you wanted to loose your tyres going over the crossing at 40 mph so be it...hence to say all fines were returned

hmm, i got caught by the cop holding the speed gun just before xmas, 3 points and £60 fine....  i am ashamed and only drive at 30 now...  (everywhere)... |
