Hi Shaun and welcome to the forum.
If you have accommodation for a month then I wouldn't worry about it until you get there. A month is plenty of time to look for and find an apartment and at least that way you can check where it is and what it's like. _________________ Who am I? I will make this day a happy one for I alone can determine what kind of day it will be. |

I had a month to find our accommodation but we have a dog which cut down our options.
As Jenny said, wait till you arrive then look round the estate agents in the area you want. They have things come up and are gone before being advertised.
Get a Spanish sim for your mobile as soon as you arrive so the estate agents can contact you. They generally come with more credit on them than you actually pay - but some of it gets added when you register.
Don't plan on staying in your short term let for the whole month. If you find a long term let leave the short term one early. I missed out on an apartment because I took 2 days to think about it.
The apartment we are now in wasn't advertised anywhere but the agent knew what we were looking for.

hi shaun
I have just come to the reef to live and I booked a holiday let from home for a month just as you have done until the end of feb and I have found an apartment it was my first thing to do and i move in on the 4th of march, but wait until you get here its easier, and you can look around the area you like, go to the agents, or just take down the telephone numbers as they have signs up Aquila is for rent Sende or Vende i cant remember is for sale.
I found an apartment on a residential complex not a holiday one as well
good luck and welcome to the forum I have found it to be a very valuable resource
