Post subject: Some pics of La Laguna |

La Laguna is the city in the north that I fell in love with when I first came to Tenerife and stayed there on holiday twice.
Here are some photos I took on the weekend.

That's a VERY familiar stretch of highway Bard...
La Laguna is definitely not a bad little city. It has some nice pedestrian zones, shops and old buildings.
The only problem is I always get lost for hours on end. There aren't any good landmarks and the streets seem straight but actually curve around all over the place. Actually most locals [from El Puerto] can't even navigate around it! |

Funny you should say that because I got lost once when I was staying at the pensíon in El Coromoto and had said goodnight to my friend who lived in another part. I felt such a fool having to phone her to come and rescue me! I don't feel so bad after what you've told me!
I've had a few times it's taken me a lot longer to get from A to B there too but I think I more or less know my way round now. The motorway is a good landmark for dividing it up and finding the bus station.
I have walked to La Laguna from San Andres so know the roads in and have walked the reverse direction to Cruz del Carmen. _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Hi... lovely pics, I cant get enough of La Laguna... especially in christmas, its so pretty and got so much character. There are some great little cafes/bars there too, and cheap.Very overlooked by the local english residents in my opinion.
Regards. |

Thanks! I didn't realise there were any "English residents" although I suppose there must be! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Yes, La Laguna was my first introduction to Tenerife and it made such a big impression on me that I wanted to live here! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |
