Post subject: Long Term Let Questions |
|
|
Im thinking of coming to Tenerife for atleast 6 months to work and i have a few questions about long term renting.
In order to get a long let do you need to fill out any paperwork to be able to?
When people say the rent per month does that include the water and electric, im confused about that?
Also are there any other charges like in the UK with council tax etc.. or is the rent the only outgoing?
Im thinking of a place in Los Cristianos (studio/1 bed) nothing amazing but with a phoneline with Broadband for around 500/550, is that realistic?
Also does it matter if you live on your own or with your other half does the prices change?
Any answers would be much appreciated

As with all things in life nothing is fixed. Some charge all inclusive, some give an allowance for utilities and if you're wasteful you may have to pay the extra. Your budget is ok but you won't get phone and broadband included. So many renters here run off with bills outstanding that owners are reluctant to put in phones as the property is responsible for the bills not the renters. You'll need to check with the owners before renting to see if they'll allow you to put in a phone. As for extras, check at the time of renting, some owners ask you to pay the community fees but most don't.
If you state that the apt is for two people you can't normally invite extras to share but a studio or 1 bed is designed for two people so the price is the same for 1 or 2 _________________ .
