 Post subject: Hello wanting to speak to other Mum's for advice |

Hi to all and thanks for the great posts on this site!!!
My husband and I are in the process of looking for a business in tenerife, and are looking at the possibilty of moving in 2009. We have 2 children, Georgia who turned 5 in December and Ethan who will be 2 in August.
I am wanting to hear from other ex-pat mum's that have moved with a young family and how they have adapted. i.e schools etc
Thanks and I am looking forward to making new friends

Hi Kelly and welcome to our forum. If you make a search (see above next to Profile and Messages buttons) you will find lots of information about children adapting here.
There are many mothers on this site and we are willing to answer questions that you can't find answers for.

Hi Kelly, there are a lot of hands on Dads to, like myself. He have our uses lol.
We moved a few years ago when our son was 3. He is now 5.

Hi Kelly,
While we're very happy to share experiences with everyone you cannot really expect people to hand everything to you on a plate and write out all you may need to know (especially via e-mail or pm this info is for sharing). We do spend a lot of time giving free info and are pleased to help but you must make some effort yourself by first reading the posts as you have and then asking specific questions.

We try not to encourage PMs especially that contain information that could be useful to others, who like yourself, have found this forum and want to find information to help them with their move to Tenerife. That is what this forum is for - helping people like yourself who want to move over here. We don't mind answering specific questions once you have read the other posts, and I think you will find that your main question has already been answered several times.
Hope you don't think I'm being rude as that is really not my aim. We just get a lot of people coming on here and asking the same questions over and over and it gets tiring after a while answering the same things.

Hi Jenny and Rob
I appreciate that you may get 'tired' answering the same questions. I had spent over an hour trawling through the posts before I posted my own topic and was not asking for anything 'handing to me on a plate'.
I thought that rather than me firing question after question, which you say is tiring, I was asking for a hand in friendship on a more informal level , for someone to chat too, which seems was too much of me to ask.
I think I will read rather than write from now.

Please dont feel like this....I dont think either of them meant any harm.....
As for me...I am always willing to asnwer anything you like lol...actually I get told off A LOT for talking to much...But hey never mind lol....
if you need anything at all then please please feel free to ask me....i have 3 children of 10,8 and 5...even my daughter will answer questions lol...
Please dont let this stop you .....everyone else will answer you aswell......

Hello and welcome to the wonderful forum !
Please contribute it would be a shame not to and just read.... we are a lovely bunch and Rob is a pussy cat really 
As for Strips she is so correct she talks lots and lots and is ever so helpful,as is our wonderfull Jenny....and the rest of you of course !
These guys will do anything they can to help you where possible and it is a fab way to make friends with people in the Reef while in the miserable cold UK.
I live in Burnley, North East Lancashire and used to live in Tenerife briefly in 2004. I met most of these guys in December.... check out our forum Christmas Meet photos to see what they all look like , they all have friendly faces too ! Oh sorry apart from Jim.... he he

Hi Folks and welcome to the forum
I'm slightly puzzled as to why you are in the process of looking for a business here when you are not even planning to move here until 2009?? No worthwhile business for sale today will still be available by 2009 and I can't think of any business that could possibly survive without you being here full time. By all means start doing research as to what types of business are available, but I would seriously recommend that you move here and settle first before investing a stack of money and jumping head-first into a business venture.
So what type of business were you thinking of?
