I want to buy a mobile phone/sim card to use in Tenerife. But want to buy it before we come out. Anyone know a good phone shop, who speaks English who will send us one out by mail? I am told Movistar is the best.

Why do you want to buy it before you go over ??? you can pick them up very cheap when your there, you'll pay very little with credit already on it and it works out that your actually getting the sim for free, as long as you top up at least once a year it'll stay valid for your next visit.

iv got one that I use had it for a few years now, I ensure I top it up with 5 euros before I leave and if my renewal date is due when im not there I have the shop number whre I can call from the uk to top it up while I am in the uk, ( although this has never happened to me ) as iv never needed to call them.
most phone / electrical shops will sell you one. Mine is a vodafone, personal choice, as I use vodafone here, I just take a spare phone with me and pop the sim in to use when I land.

I am sure the pay as you go sim card with Moviestar or Vodafone is 25 euros. But that gives you the sim and 25 euros of credit.

Best option, much cheaper. Give everyone you think you will want to speak to in the UK when you are here, a yoghurt pot and bring a very long piece of string with you.
