Why do I get the feeling that you only want to hear the good news?
This is the best report.... "half decent" was mentioned....I can tell you from my experience Resort Properties is probably one of the only half decent timeshare sales companies on the island.
I worked in timeshare for over 3 years (not for resort properties) but have had connections and friends who have worked there or still do.
It's tough, very hard work but if you stick at it you can make really good money. I never worked in sales, or telesales,
Does being the best of a bad bunch make them good? _________________ .

Rob's right Littlemisssunshine. This really doesn't sound like the right job for you. You started the thread by saying 'its not cold calling', but Emma has just explained to you its exactly that. The high turnover of staff in those jobs speaks for itself. The fact is that most people are no good at cold-calling and/or they hate it after a few days/weeks.
If you're going to work for a timeshare company (half decent or otherwise) you're better off cold-lining on the beachfront than cold-calling in an office. That way, when you head back home after 3 months disillusioned and skint, you'll at least have a nice tan to show for it... _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! we used to have a laugh with them my oh put on different accents and pretended not to understand them it was funny or say a few words in a foreign language to fox them. The last time tho i just said we lived there and we walked on by.
The ones that are also a nuisance are the Africans that come round with sunglasses and watches when your eating as if your going buy them again you only seem to get this in certain areas. Im suprised the restaurant owners let them come to the tables tbh. _________________ Princesa del Tenerife

I have the impression that littlemisssunshine is feeling peed off with me for not telling her what a fab idea she's had. Unfortunately many people come on here with a dream and reality shatters it. She really did seem to only take notice of half positive comments and ignore the negatives, I've probably made an enemy of her. Should we keep 'telling it as it is' or let them come and find out for themselves? _________________ .

Rob, Telling it as it is, is certainly the best way. no point in telling porkeys just cause that maybe what people want to hear. _________________ im back in Tenerife soon........ yepeeeeeeeee |

Exactly, as said before no good living through rose tinted specks, plus doing a job like that you will need very thick skin and not be upset if you get told to ........ off,
Rob some people will not take advice, they seem to forget for all of you people living in Tenerife, there will be hundreds of tales of woe and happyness, they just don't listen or think they know better. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan
