again Bard it is the way people are educated, we had a couple of men, who worked with us in care work, who in their younger years had worked on whaling ships, we used to debate with them (sometimes heated) how wrong it was, all they would say was there are plenty of them, and it was their job, and if they were young enough and it was still going on in the UK they would still be doing it. It was a no win situation no matter how we went on about depleating stock, extintion etc _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

What I never understand in matters like this is can't the people carrying out these horrific actions see what I see? Do they not see beautiful creatures with feelings like we have? Do they not see that their acts are extremely cruel and barbaric? Obviously they do not but the question is why can they not see? _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Bard not all people are animal lovers, some people are immune to those sights like farmers, people who work in slaughterhouses at the end of the day it is their job. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

Yes it's their job which means they choose to do it but what makes them like that? What makes them happy to do such work? It is not from necessity. It's the same question as why are soldiers able to kill people? Why do they choose to do this job? Violence and cruelty against humans or animals is the same thing to my mind and in fact there is much evidence to show that animal abusers often become people abusers too! It is lack of respect for other life but why? _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Bard, if we knew the answer to that we could cure quite a few ills could we not.
We are a very complex animal, some can be very cruel too. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

We could indeed! Unfortunately those who have no respect for life and think nothing of killing and making war become the people in charge of the world and then we wonder why it is in such a mess! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Exactly Bard, there are some leaders I could quite easily bang their heads together to make them see sence, again politics and religion, my army is bigger than your army, etc _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan
