Went yesterday to The Indian restaurant that you mention, I was with my parents who are here on holiday.
True, the staff are very friendly, but as for the meal.... well, we all had different meals that included chicken and the chicken was tough in all three meals.
I´ve eaten curries for years and my chicken Korma was one of the worst that I´ve ever tasted.
The best curry house that I´ve found since moving here is the Tandori next to the Brum pub in PDLA.
Great tastes and flavours, always popular... and I think you will find that most of the customers are locals ! |
Considering that you've replied to a year old thread, this restaurant (like so many others) has probably changed hands twice since then. Still, its good to get an update.
Personally, I think coming from Britain to Tenerife and looking for a Chicken Korma is like an Indian going to Venice and searching for a Big Mac. Wrong place! The locals here aren't that into at Indian food. Hardly surprising when their own food is far better! Best to stick to what they do best out here, which still gives you plenty of choice!
It makes me laugh though when I hear Brits out here proudly state that they don't eat all that 'foreign muck' but then fly home and head straight for their local Tandoori _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

I have been to India and sampled curries. Obviously they are a little different to the ones I have grown used to in Rusholme, Manchester.
Everyone has different tastes and I personally prefer the Manchester curries, not that it means they are better, I just prefer them.
So, I think I know a good curry and have yet to find one in Tenerife although Roys are pretty half decent.
I have one coming over in the next 10 mins. Yum Yum.

Oh dear, come to think of it last time I had a curry in Rusholme was about 15 or 20 years ago lol.
I was there about 7 years ago and walking down the road I felt extremely uncomfortable.
