Hi everybody, I'm Twang.
Thought I should say "Hello" and introduce myself, especially to the Bard, whom I've seen and spoken to at Flicks, (whether you remember me or not !!!), and also to Loaded, whose posts and music I've tracked from back here in the UK. (Always interesting reading).
That's it for now, see you all later.

Hi Twang! Welcome from me too!
BTW I had your name as a potential title for my autobiography if I ever get round to writing it. Someone once drew a sketch of me on stage when I had broken strings on my guitar and he came up and threw it on the stage. I liked it because it was funny and had "TWANG" as the title and it sort of sums me up - I carry on even when things like this happen! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Hello Bard, (one day I'll get into these emoticonithingies).
Nice to know that somebody else is a stringbreaker.
Whenever I install a program on the computer and they ask for a business name I put BSP........................Broken String Productions !!!
My record is 5 strings in 1 set (!), on the SAME guitar, (that kept the roadies busy !!!!).
I remember playing a C chord very gently......................................
and broke 2 strings (!)............it wasn't even a screaming solo !!!!
We'll be over in May, so will probably see you at Flicks.....hell, I might even play!!
PS:- Any of those green beards spare? |

Many many years ago in an arts centre in Cardiff I was doing a cover of Hard Rain's Gonna Fall and broke two strings and wasn't able to play properly so I hammed it up and put on a Bryan Ferry voice to make a joke of it. I got stuck after that with "Can you do the Bryan Ferry version of...?"
I wish I had some of the green beards spare! The lady who made them isn't there anymore and there are only one or two still around so my set has lost a lot of the fun part with all the green beards. If I knew where you could buy such things I would get some!
Here's a reminder of the green beard cult in its heyday!
BTW have you seen Nick Harper? He is not only an amazing singer-songwriter but he is able to restring a guitar whilst standing up and carrying on playing - the guy is a genius at guitar work, better than his dad Roy who normally has a spare guitar or help from a roadie with a string change. _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Our sis-in-law, who is a resident, (along with all you lucky chappie/chapesses), is into the cards/crafts/etc. thing, so I'll get her to make me one!!
If they still had the parrots flying about Tenbel I could have used a few of those, but they're gone now so it might have to be cardboard !! |

I saw a green parakeet on a palm by Coral Mar square last time I was in Silencio so they've not all gone, which is good because I like them!

| Jenny, were they caged or uncaged? Last time we wandered through the cages were gone. Actually, thinking about it, I seem to remember we did see a few flying there. |

Damn.
Makes the job a damn sight more difficult.
Might have to go with the cardboard option. (!!) |
