...... has ended up in the vets today ! Hopefully she is going to be ok.
She had ate some ibroprofuen last night when I came home, don't know where she had found them. I found some on the floor and estimated she had around 2. She had been sick and seemed totally fine, I fed her and we all went to bed.
This morning at 7 she started being sick and shaking.... off to the vets.
I looked on the net this morning and was totally shocked and felt sick with what these tablets can do to the small animals! So panicking we went to the vets who took her and said we couldn't see her until her kidneys had been flushed etc
As yet we still have not seen her and we are waiting for her blood results which should be in for 6pm, however they have said that she is now keeping food down, they have given her some medicine to stop stomach ulcers and they have flushed her kidneys and things......
All being well with the blood test results she can be home for tonight.....
It has COST WAIT...... £200 !?!?!? ARGH!!!
VETS ......so we are now staying in all weekend... so my rant is with IBROPROFUEN... and how leathal they are and with extoriate prices of vets , how would some people be able to afford this ? Would the poor animal have to suffer ?
Chris can suffer in silence next time he twists his ligaments as there is no more of this tablets coming in this house from now on!
Our fault for leaving them in her reach yes but OHhhhhhh what a start to a weekend !
Hope your all well Lea x
p.s she is going to be sooooo pampered more than normal when she gets home ! _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

She is home woo hoo ! They really worried me last night, vet rang about 9 saying stuff about enzymes in her liver were high etc ....
She had another blood test this morning and they said they had returned to normal and no problems can be seen with her kidneys or liver. They don't think that she ate as many as I thought so that is good !
She had pulled the drip out of her leg though so she had a bandage on it.
She has to have 2 sets of medicine 3 times a day to prevent any stomach ulcers and she has to have a bland diet so none of her fave spag bol or tuna and rice, just chicken and rice or white fish and rice !
I have bought her a chicken for easter and she is being pampered more than normal!
PHEW for a moment there we thought we had lost her.... it makes you think.....how stupid we are to leave ibroprofuen round the house.....it is like having a child !
Anyway she is here and well so thank god for that !

So pleased Tipsy is OK now.
You must have been out of your minds with worry.
It's so easy for these things to happen though.
You think you are careful, but one little slip can lead to tragedy.
Give her a cuddle from me. _________________ Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. |

Awwhh Leanne have only just read this, poor little tipsy. At least she is now home and ready to be really pampered by her mummy.
Can imagine how worrying it was for you. As you said you do not realise the dangerous drugs, poisons etc we have in our houses.
Big hugs from me to you and an even bigger hug to tipsy. Stay snuggled up and warm all of you. xxxx |

aww thanks guys ! Yeah she is taking her medicine nicely and she has to have 3 small meals a day we have to give her one medicine wait for half an hour give her another medicine wait for another half and hour and then feed her lol !
We have had our godson all day and we did him a bath tonight which he refused to get in and insisted that dog went in, Tipsy loving her baths went in a loving sat there while he poured water over her and all the soil from the garden she has been diggin is now in the bottom of the bath... lovely !
But yes it is a big relied and now I don't want to tell her off for anything at all ha ha so she is getting away with everything !
Anyway kisses from Tipsy x _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

Yeah she is insured thankfully, still have the excess on it though! But she is worth it, she keeps burping on the medicine she is taking it is funny! _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

Enjoy and pamper them while they are here we are still missing our beautiful Oscar (black lab) terribly but it is getting a bit better, then all of a sudden such sadness sets in again. |

Sunny I was in floods of tears last week........sorting through old handbags I came across my first dogs name tag.........he was a poodle called Lucky...(runt of the litter I was lucky to get him.) His show name was Prince Peach Pereguin of Dier, he was put to sleep 24 years ago, mam was the same when I showed her the tag. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan
