After serving this country for years and putting their lives on the line by fighting in our wars all around the globe this scum socialist government has denied them the right to settle in this country. What is it with socialists they welcome terrorists, murderers, rapists the parasites and scroungers of the world, but some one we should be grateful to gets a kick in the teeth. Don't it make you want to spew? it does me

I know we were talking about this at work yesterday it doesn't seem fair ! Yet when I was working as and underwriter I saw hundreds of rights to resides given to people from all over the world as they had married someone here, or they were a distant relative or they had come here and found 'employment'... for how long for though!

It is a joke, we let all these people come in and rip off our social benefit system yet these people working and serving our country get their cards to get out?!?!

I wonder what will happen next sometimes !!

I couldn't agree more. I've had experience of working with the Ghurkas, a great bunch of men with an incredible history and reputation as fighters.

Oh dear now you are really getting me going, my Dad (who I am very proud of) before his retirement 20 years ago worked for the MOD and worked very closely with the Ghurkas trying to improve their rights conditions etc.

He was awarded a very special honour he is an honoured member of the Brigade of Ghurkas. They still keep in touch with him and still appreciate all the work he did to assist them. He visited Nepal many times and has been awarded many awards from them. He has been awarded many gifts and has a specially engraved knife (I know I am going to spell it wrong but the choukery) which when they never return to their belts without drawing blood, even if it is just nicking their own fingers.

They are fantastic people and to be honest I could go on and on about the stories I know and how wonderful they are. I have so many stories I could tell but it may bore you all.

In our family we love them and always sing their praises.

I once heard a story about a British colonel who asked the leader of a platoon of Ghurka if they would be prepared to jump out of a C130 airplane.

Somewhat to the colonel's surprise, the Ghurka sergeant requested a day to talk it over with his men. The next day, the Ghurka duly reported that they would do it, but only over marshy ground with the aicraft flying at no more than 100ft.

'But at a hundred feet the parachutes wouldn't work,' the colonel explained.

The Ghurka replied, 'Parachutes? No-one mentioned parachutes!'

A tale I was told as a wee army cadet.....

In the army you have to lace your boots cross ways ( looks like a ladder ) and not criss cross.
During WWII in the Pacific the Gurkhas would be lying in wait in the jungle - and if anyone came into view with criss cross laces ... they, no questions asked, jumped up and killed them.

Think they lopped off their old lug holes too. Confused
