Ah, the green cross 'ozzy - you have mucho sympathy from me,mate.
Early afternoon one New Years day in the early nineties - sweating rather profusely, bent double with pain ( at least for 12 hours) and verging on conking out, I staggered into there.
Several hours later, after many holiday insurance paid for tests and unbelievable abysmal and indifferent treatment by most of the staff - Mrs M and I were sent on our way with a recipe for lemonade.
Midnight the next day I had a burst and gangerous appendix removed in an emergency operation in a hospital in Peurto De La Cruz.
All say - awwwwwww, poor, poor Melders. _________________ Getting older is no problem.

Best wishes to Tom from me.
Pleased the "operation" was only to set the arm. _________________ Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. |

Awwh Karl, I have been a bit slow on the posts lately, poor little Tom and what a terrible time for you and Clare, at least you have him home safe and sound with you so he can be looked after well, poor little love.
I think I may have mentioned on here before when I broke two ribs three years ago we were appalled at the initial treatment of the green hospital I was left for hours the same as your little Tom, without any painkillers etc, badly treated and man handled badly by the X ray staff and then all of a sudden when they knew I had insurance, they could not do any more for me, offering to keep me in for the night which I refused.
Big cuddles to Tom and hope he is feeling better.
Although from what I have heard the treatment in the UK is very similar.
Try and have a good weekend, at least he is in your care now xx |

..sounds like he had to have the bones "manipulated" back into place, they usually do it under anaesthetic.my eldest son broke his elbow when he was 6 and had to have the same thing done....hopefully tom will be well on the way to a full recovery... |

I spoke to karlb this morning and Tom is home and slept well last night. They're keeping him at home next week while the cast is on, karlb is in for a wonderful week! He passes his thanks to all who've enquired about Tom. _________________ .

A little late in posting but glad to hear that Tom is OK. I've heard a Wii, playstation or XBox is good physio, I assume he has both if not the parents should provide them as a means to quicker recovery
P.S. Don't PM me Karl.....only joking _________________

He is fine thanks. There is a bandage around the plaster so we cannot draw on it.
