Hi , i am new to the forum and would like to thank all the people involved in keeping the forum going .
i have lived on Tenerife for 5 yrs and have looked on a few times but never took the time to join. many reasons i wont go into . time / work / shyness etc are a few !!
I was wondering if there are other single people out there who would like to get together for friendship to go to events, meals , nights out, shows etc together , I am not talking about dates and can be of the same sex , just i find Tenerife a large lonely place , and not easy to make friend . People come and go so often !! i hope i havent broken any rules etc i am new so be kind

Hi sofedup and welcome to our forum. We do occasionally have forum meets, there's one planned for May use the search to find the thread.

If you're over 45 there's a dining club for singles and couples that meets every Wed in las Americas. There are also various Spanish ones if you speak the language.

Hello and welcome sofedup.

I read/watched these forums for a while before deciding to make myself known. If you have been visiting here you'll know that everybody is very helpful, and, dare I say it, kind, in a very nice way.

I'm sure you will only benefit from being here.



(PS:- The reason it took me so long is because I HATE typing !!!)


(PPS:- Another reason is that somebody ( or thing ) keeps hiding certain letters on my keyboard, only to make them reappear 20 or 30 seconds later !! Amazing, isn't it?

I hope when I die I don't come back as a flaming typist !!!)

Tell us a bit more about yourself: in which area do you live, your approximate age (if you want to divulge that information!!)? We are a nosy bunch but are also open about our lives so don't be shy!

I live in the south nr Las Galletas , I know Flicks so will try and join the meet ! i am over 21 under 50 and well above the 1/2 way mark lol
i Am Reiki Master , love to read . swim and have a dog
i speak very little Spanish to my shame

Excellent. Hope to see you at the meet. Most of us regulars will be there and we don't plan on moving away from Tenerife!! I know what you mean about people moving on - all the friends I had at the beginning have gone back (though I hadn't planned to stay long either!!). Not everyone is cut out for life in Tenerife

I read the forum for a while too before joining in. I am so pleased I did join because I have found so many helpful and friendly people here.

Although we have not moved to the Reef yet, we feel we will not be on our own when we do.
