Hey

Has anyone ever been to Barcelona before?

Im going on Friday with my mum and sister. I booked a nice hotel
( Hotel Petit Palace BCN ) which is near the Paseo de Gracia area.

BUT... even after reading every site on the place and looking a few guide books i dont quite know what there is to do..

Would anyone recommened anything.. Im only there 3 nights

I did a half-day there last month on a flight stopover. The best starting point is to do the Touristic Bus tours around the city.

There are three routes, Blue, Red and Green. The first 2 are longer (2 hours approx) and the latter is about 45 minutes. The routes are excellent and take in the vast majority of things that you might want to see. They give you free headphones which plug in to the seat in front of you and give you a guided tour in about 10 language options. Take a pen and paper and you will quickly form a list of dozens of additional things that you want to go back and see in more detail.
