Hi guys just wanted to make a suggestion.

We wanted to get private Spanish lessons as it gives you a little more get up and go and it unlike going to a class it goes at your pace; BUT the prices of £30 per hour were very off putting and would probably break the bank if my learning skills are anything to go by with my driving ....lol

Anyway I searched the net, YELL, etc and emailed a few Spanish translators, tutors etc in the area. The lady that has come back to me was actually a translator and deals with people wanting contracts and help buying houses in Spain.

Anyway ...get to the point.... someone thankfully came back to me agreeing to a 'Skill Swap' I will do holistic therapies for Spanish lessons, to the same value for time etc....

So after speaking with her today we are going to see her at the weekend to come to a complete and final agreement on times etc !!

ARGH very exciting and a great idea for people that can't afford the big prices, she would normally charge £30 per hour !!

Chris has also offered to do photography for her too !

So all being well, we should be cracking on Spanish a little bit more structured than our bits and bats when we get a min !

Well having spoken to this lady and made agreements.... I have been waiting for her to come back to me with dates ...... not heard anything... I am going to send her an email to chase her up and if no luck start my search again for Spanish Lesson skill swaps! I will get there in the end !

hey lea do you use msn or anything like that? if you no anybody or find anybody (even people on the forum) learning spanish you could talk spanish with each other on something like that, helping each other out and learning together using text books or online programmes to check that your right?

once ive got my laptop back working id be happy to online learn or email to help us both, im going to load the programme i used before my laptop crashed the first time back on byki or something..

Dora only says the odd word. You'd be better off getting other kiddies films but in Spanish.

Hi

I am trying to learn Spanish and found a free website which has lessons and you can practice writing and speaking with Spanish speakers and help them out with their English too. Its called livemocha I think. Only just started the lessons, quite repetitive but that probably helps you to reinforce what you have learned. Not as good as one to one lessons and i doubt it will get me anywhere fluent but i think i will give it a go.
