I know we have a calima thread in the chat board.....BUT mine is more of a rant than a chat.

It is driving me mad....I never normally get affected by these calimas that often.....BUT this time I have. It has caused me so many problems. My throat has been so dried out theat I cant talk !!!!!!! yes you may well think this is a good thing, but it really isn't. My nose is so dry aswell and i have been drinking so much water that I think I could swim in it.

Then today...My poor Charlie has been affected and is now off school bless him. He has a head ache, feels sick and was...nice....I have cooled him down and fed him water. He looks so sorry for himself which is co not like him.

He really wants to be at school....

My animals are driving me mad aswell....my cats has just had kittens..

Well you did say you were bored last week while Neil was away!! The calima seems to be clearing up today. It's still hot but not as sandy/hazy.

Jokes apart, I hope Charlie feels better soon.

And can we see photos of the kittens?

lol......I HATE CALIMAS GRRRRR

yes I was bored lat week ....lol Now I have so much to do. Cant get the energy though .....

Charlie is being poorly, bless him and keeps asking when his head and belly will feel better. he says 'it is taking ages'

Theres so much sand in my house I could build a castle.

As for kittens....yes I will sort out some pictures....My cat had 3. They are lovely. 2 greys and 1 grey tabby..

It sure was a bad one wasn't it? Almost as bad as the one we had here in Lanzarote last September.

The only time I need my asthma medicine is when a calima kicks in. And yes, our place looks like a sandcastle too. If only I could get off my butt to sort it - but we're so busy lol.

Well at last a light breeze thats not HOT........gee

Normally I get on pretty well with Calimas....this was horrid. Neil was also here lol....he normally escapes them by being in the UK although this time he arrived home with the Calima on Friday lol..

Never mind we will have a nice break for a while...UNTIL NEXT TIME...

I have actually seen some pretty cool pictures of the satelite view of this calima....loads of sand lol

It is one of the better pictures I have seen of Calimas.

I was reading the newspaper today that came out on friday...they said the temps would rise to 28!!!!!! 42 more like grrrrr..lol

Its a lot cooler now and so I am happy again..


I've had to cut the link to stop it stretching the forum out of shape!

No I never see it as a downside at all....just a difference...compared to the UK I would still rather have a calima for a few days than have the horrid stickyness that you get in England...I really really hate that ..lol

I remember that was awful...when you actually get any heat at all. But the rest of the time its cold...lol thats worse for me..

Yes thanks for asking Margret....He is so much better now. He went back to school yesterday and was feeling fine.

He was so poorly on monday though, with sickness and a headache bless him...he was looking so sorry for himself and then slept the rest of the day.

He is back at school and doing OK....and now ready to go for it..they have the next 2 days off school...
