Was sent home from work yesterday lunchtime with the mother of all migraine sickness, weakness, jack hammers in head, and a disco of lines and light infront of eyes,
Feel fighting fit today, thank god I don't get them regular, I am blaming the weather, it is very close we need a good old thunder storm, not the couple of flashes and bangs we have been getting _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

Sounds as though you had your own internal thunder storm. _________________ .

Hi,
I suppose it was better to be sent home with an internal thunderstorm in your head rather than else where! He He. |

I had never had migraines until much earlier this year when I had several over the space of a week and when I had the first it was really frightening because until I worked out what had happened to me, and that was when I was able to think clearer and do a bit of research, I thought I was having a stroke or something serious. My sight went so I couldn't read because letters were missing and I couldn't even think of words I normally know and I had a jagged light pattern in my vision that wouldn't go. I had somewhat foolishly gone out basically because I had to get to the bank in time. I went in a shop after and made a right mess paying for what I was buying - I couldn't add up or understand what the girl was saying! On the way home my sight returned to normal but pain started badly in my head and when I got in I took some valerian tablets and went to bed.
I figured out later that week when I had another that I had been eating a lot of dried fruit and nuts before each attack so decided to not do so again. Researching online I found out that ginkgo is a very recommended herbal treatment and that was interesting to me because it is a supplement I normally take but hadn't for weeks because mine had run out and I hadn't bought any more. I made a point of buying some and have also made a point of not running out again and of staying clear of the brand of mixed dried fruit and nuts and I have been fine since. _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

one of my first managers only had to smell chocolate and that would bring an attack on she was on constant medication,
for me I blame HRT which I was given 10 years ago, that is when I had my first attack, stopped HRT after 6 months but still get the attacks now and again. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan
