hi all im zoe,im 25,my parents live here already they are in england at present. iv been wanting to move over myself for a long time now so im going to sell my car,quit my 2 jobs n give up my flat n get a 1way flight bringin a few thousand pound with me and stay at my mums for a few week praying il find a job that will pay enough to rent somewere for me and my boyfriend(who will also be wanting work) some one please tell me how risky this may be or just give me some advise??? i should add that if i cant find work ther i would be totally stuck with no home,car,family to rescue me and not a penny to live back in england as i would of used everything i have on the big move. am scared but want to be ther so badly!!!

Every big move carries a risk, you must plan well and go for it, if it is what you really want.
I am sure your parents will give you support and advice if they already live on the island, they should know all of the pitfalls and areas you need to know about, if you read the posts already on the forum about moving over to Tenerife you will find some invaluable advice.
As long as you don't land there with rose tinted glasses, you must be willing to look for work and not expect it handed to you on a plate.

Do you speak any Spanish? Your chances of survival are a lot higher if you do.

You don't have children yet I presume so making the move now will be a lot easier than doing it in several years time when/if you do decide to have children.

If you are hard-working and willing to make an effort then I don't see why it shouldn't work for you both but I highly recommend learning Spanish.

Agree with Jenny.

Without kids and not having to sell your property as I guess you are renting there is not going to be as much stress involved for someone moving with children having sold their house lock stock and barrel.

Enjoy it.

If you do decide its the place for you both after spending time living here, learn Spanish very very quickly.
