Post subject: attempted break in by low life scum bag! |
|
|
I am so angry............it was bad enough that some B*****d, stole my pay pal account and bought designer hand bags out of MY bank a/c.....but now some other low life has tried to break in to my house!!
I had just went to bed, at around 2.30 yesterday morning, and we heard a noise out the back, but the dogs didn't bark, so we ignored it, then we heard another noise, like someone jumping onto our decking, from a height....and then another one.....so I tried to really quietly open the blind (our bedroom is at the back), and looked down to find a guy trying to break in my patio doors, I screamed (so much for being quiet!) and he ran across the garden up and over the six foot fence in seconds into my neighbours garden, over her fence into a pitch black tree area.
Shiel tried to run after him, ( with his pants on back to front! lol) but couldn't catch him.....the police came super fast with sniffer dogs, which makes me think they are looking for someone, as they dont usually bother that much with attempted break ins., and they spent ages looking about in the area near the house, but they couldn't find him....and then yesterday they sent the forensics out! Didn't find enough prints on door though.
We couldn't get back to sleep after that, so we were shattered all day yesterday, and now i'm scared to leave Cora in with a babysitter when we are working in case he comes back.
We are really lucky we had a late night and were still awake, I dont think we would have had a chance of hearing him, and he shimmied along the wall of the house, (you can see his footprints), so that he wouldn't set the security light off, so the police think he was a pro.
All our holiday spending money, plus bill money was in the kitchen! And the two laptops were sitting in there too, so we are really lucky, but I feel angry that these low lifes think they can just break in to your home and take your stuff that you work your a**e off for!! I cant imagine how it feels to actually be broken in to........I am a wreck with just that happening!
Anyway, glad to get that wee rant off my chest, better go get ready for my gig now!

How awful. I bet you can't sleep properly now worrying about every single noise you hear.
Why do you think your dogs didn't bark at them? _________________ Who am I? Find out more here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=17

I'm so pleased that you managed so scare him off.
It must have been an awful shock.

Hi guys, cant understand why the dogs didn,t bark!! They must have been scared!! They are only wee lhasa apsos.....not big guard dogs, but usually they bark at everything. Typical!
I am so scared now, and I know its irrational, because there is no more chance of them coming back than there was before! Its phsychological I think.

It is only natural you will feel like that, we felt that way after we were broken into, but if you think like that you will go insane,
if you insured you will get replacements, unfortunatly the scum don't/can't comprehend the heartache people go through.
Unfortunatly s**t happens, as I said hands cut off plus a few other things, so they could sing soprano
Have the police given you advice on home security, as they seem to think that a house alarm, sensor pads, double locks, are not adequate!!!!!!! _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

Crikey that must have been really frightening. Can fully understand how nervous you feel now.
The only thing if its any consolation is that I would think the person would be less likely to come back to the same house after being scared off. Especially if it was just an opportunist burglar.
Take care |

That must've been awful for you. i remember when i was broken into. Luckily I wasn't in - but it still affected me greatly!
keep a can of aerosol close to hand (for spraying into eyes) and maybe something that would squirt long distances... like Jif lemon.
Or maybe.. ... ...
Actually I should stop now - or I'll get cross, and I've already banned hubby from bringing his gun over to shoot rabbits etc (yeah - right... whole 'nother conversation goin' on now!)
Just keep alert honey. Keep safe. And protect your own!

LOL! Thanks for the advice Elle!
Thats a good idea, about the aeresol and the jif lemon. We've got a rolling pin in bed with us now ...dont know what good it's going to be, but it makes us feel a wee bit safer.
I am worried about my hols now, when the house is empty!!
Sorry to hear you were actually broken into - I was lucky in that respect.....its just the fact that I saw him thats scaring me now!
