We are going to be renting a property when we move. I know you have to set up Direct Debits for paying the bills, how would you set these up, ie. with the companies etc. Do you have to pay for refuse collection, if so, how would I go about this. We will not be in a community, so I would have thought no community charges. Everything is a bit dauntingat the moment, but really looking forward to the challenge, which is what it is going to be.
Thanks |

Hi KEB,
If you are renting an apartment and your bills are not included then I presume your landlord would charge you the extra when you pay your rent and you wouldn't set up direct debits. Regarding rubbish collection, the owner of the apartment should take care of that too and if he did charge you then it's a minimal amount. Even if you were in a community, the owner, I believe, is liable to the community fees. _________________ "Cleaning your house while the kids are still growing is like shoveling your drive while it's still snowing."...Phyllis Diller |
