Hello chaps.

Sorry I have not been on the forum for a while, I have been rather busy.

Well, we are both fine and happy. We are settling in nicely to our new “normal” life. We have a beautiful house in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, set in 2 acres of gardens plus paddocks. The gardens are full of wildlife, squirrels, ducks and waterfowl on the pond, all types of birds, badgers and I have even seen deer in the top paddock. We had two Mallards walk into the kitchen one morning looking for food. We are kept awake at night by the owls in the trees at the front of the house. Molls has a huge bedroom and its ever so frilly and girlie. She loves it. The village, Mellis, we live in and where I grew up from the age of 13, is real picture postcard stuff with thatched cottages, open common land and ponds. We have a little country pub on the common selling real ales and basic food. Ask me the best environment to bring Molly up in, here or Silencio and there is no contest what so ever.

Molly is due to start school on June 2nd. This will mean that when she starts in September she will have friends and not be frightened. They are introducing Spanish on the curriculum in September so Molls will be doing a Spanish A level when she starts proper. In the meantime my focus is getting Molls up to speed with the British education system and introducing her to people her own age. Over the summer holidays, my parents will be taking her up to Skye for a few weeks so my Mother can work with her everyday and bring her on. I am also getting a private tutor for her.

She is thriving at being the only lady of the house. She is cooking, making sure my washing goes in the washing basket and generally looking after me. None of my family can believe just how well she has copped and is coping. To be honest, I cant either. She spent a few hours today sorting the freezer out and putting the meat in one section, the bread and veg in the other sections etc. She then sorted all the kitchen cupboards out and is the only one of the two of us who knows how to work the new dishwasher. She even has a shopping list permanently running and writes down everything we need to get when we do our next shop. She is happy and full of beans.

We have kitted one of the rooms out as a studio and packed it with speakers, microphones, mixers and amps etc. My only problem is that I cant get Molls out so I can sing (or try to). She spends a lot of time singing her little heart out in there. In fact, we fight as to who's go it is next.

She has shown an interest in riding again and we will be going to a stables this week to get her back in the saddle. Warby and Paul, my business partners, keep threatening to come down to build a stable in the paddock and buy her a pony. However, as I am allergic to horses and what with Molls being only 13, she is to young to be 100% responsible for such an animal.

I have returned to the cricket club I played for for 11 years. I picked up my club kit a couple of weeks ago and started in the 1st eleven in the 2 counties league two Saturday´s ago. It seems I still have it, bowling that is although I'm not as quick as I used to be. Once again, if you were to ask me what is best for Molly on a weekends afternoon, her in a bar with her dad who is drinking and watching the footy, or being sat on a village green watching leather on willow, there is no contest what so ever. I am also playing super league darts once a week, starting in a few months.

I have thrown myself back into my businesses and am buzzing for the first time in years. I'm waking with a smile on my face and cant wait to get to my desk. Im so buzzed up, focused and determined and it feels like a breath of fresh air.

It really is so good to be back. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I was “dying” in Tenerife for the past couple of years. I had no motivation, had or was falling into the “Tenerife trap” lifestyle and I had lost all direction. I was a bum who drank far to much. Now however, I have been given a fresh chance. I'm young enough to embrace that chance and, for the first time in years, I can see a proper, decent future for both Molls and I. I have truly left the Tenerife lifestyle I fell into behind and am so happy I have.

Please don't think for one minute that my comments are disrespectful of Sabrina, its just that I am such a positive person, I always turn negatives into positives and on this occasion, the positives are so huge. Molly and I have our real lives back and the future is there to be had.

Now chaps, lets have some banter!

It sounds like a wonderland...I love all that countryside and green grass...its the one thing I do miss about England...

try not to be to much of a strnager though...lol and stay in touch....x

Awww Trebs it sounds so picturesque ! and it is not a bad thing to see the positive spin on things she would love that for you both!!

It takes a very strong person to make positive something negative like you have. Good for you and what a great way to show Molly how to cope too. She is only coping because of the way you and Sabrina have brought her up. I am so glad you are happy over there and I'm sure Sabrina is watching over you and proud of you both too. I can't believe Molly is being so organised. What a great help that must be!

And some parts of the UK are not half as bad as people make out. I know where my parents live it is still idyllic too!
