Easy Jet has announced today it is closing its Dortmund base, it needs to loose 10 aircraft by winter, so Jonathan is a little worried, as Newcastle is one of the dearest airports to land at.

base closure hasnt been announced yet. they are in a 90 day consultation period so nothing has been decided.
it may just be that they are closing the crew base and that the crew may be made redundant, but the routes will still be flown with crew from other bases |

When you say 'base closure' are you referring to Dortmund?

From what Jonathan has picked up there will be a few going as crew bases, they will still fly to the destinations just not have crew there.
Jonathan has just got to Stanstead to do a 3 day shift, and found he has to go straight to Luton tomorrow untill Wednesday.....he only took enough uniform for 3 days ....looks like his room will be like a laundry.
