Hi all
Just back from Tenerife, it is very quiet there. The pubs and restaurants are really struggling but say it is busy compared with May. I had a lovely time, caught up with some old faces and met some new friends.
I am afraid, most of the people I spoke to also felt the flight prices to Tenerife have become excessive and they are thinking of going elsewhere, having fewer holidays.
We usually like to go 3-4 times a year, breaking up the drudgery of working. As we are working mostly to pay our mortgage in Tenerife, we want to be able to enjoy our apartment. We will maybe go twice for two weeks instead of 3 or 4 one week trips.
I came home last night and it was cold, windy, raining and miserable. I can't see me waiting another six months without my fix of sunshine. Perhaps I should do an intensive Spanish course and move out there. My two hours a week at night school won't cut it unfortunately.
Enough of my ranting on and on and on.
I am just going to have to pay up or shut up because things are not going to get better. IF you live in Glasgow Ryanair have started flights, just wish they would fly out of Cardiff
