Post subject: Free program for the basics |

|
I've just found an excellent FREE program to help total novices like myself learn the basics of the Spanish language. (or any other languages you may be interested in for that matter)
It uses a series of flash cards with the English on one side and the Spanish on the other and takes you through a series of exercises for both oral and written words. It has full sound so you easily learn the correct pronunciation too.
I have found it very helpful as a starting point and is quite fun to use also.
It can be downloaded for FREE at:
http://www.byki.com
The free version contains pretty basic lists of vocabulary, however for a small fee it can be upgraded to thousands of words and phrases.
Once I have learnt all the basic (free) package, I will definately be trying the upgrade too.
Hope this is helpful. _________________ Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder |

It's great that there are people like you out there wanting to learn the language.
Keep learning and let's hope that others follow your example. |

Thank you Jenny,
If I move to live in a foreign country then I consider it only right to learn the language. Not only as a common curtesy to the native population but to enable better oportunities and understanding on a personal level.
For those too 'lazy' to learn, why not move to an english speaking country instead?
