I have put myself down to enter the contest at the Theatre, San Eugenio this Sunday at some point between 2 and 5pm.
I am also being featured in a forthcoming book by John Riddle with the same title.

Shame the index page fails code validation for XHTML 1.0 Strict on 17 counts  Although the web site makes for interesting reading.

I am currently planning on dying all my hair again, wearing my wizard robe and unveiling my now repaired crashed saucer routine as well as my usual crowd pleasers.

I think I'll stay with the green seeing as I am mainly getting called Green Beard and my beard is already that shade. A colour pic goes in The Paper for all entrants. Also maybe, just maybe, some enterprising entrepeneur here that sees me might want to use my photo seeing as so many companies are portraying a green image? A green-haired and green-bearded wizard has got be good for publicity!

To answer your kind comments on our board, May I point out that the site has only recently been released, and that your interpretation of 17 errors is indeed incorrect. W3C provides a validation process that examines the structure of a web page, and tries to determine if the page falls within various DOCTYPEs. The strict type was incorrectly defined for these pages as we have introduced features to the website that are not available under the Strict DOCTYPE. This doesnt mean there are errors, only that features are not encouraged. For example, the A tag has a TARGET parameter which is not supported for links, such as the copyright link at the bottom of each page.
You will find that the W3C validator will find many highly advanced sites that do not meet the criteria set by strict DOCTYPEs.
