Got to go on strike on Wed and Thurs, Can't honestly see the point, not even half the workforce will be effected, only Unison are out, GMB are in, so what is the point.
The money that John and I will loose because of a 2 day stupid strike is stupid and the loss on our pensions too.
If it would make a difference ok fine......... but with less than half the workforce out nothing will be stopped just run a bit slower. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

Union, and the way jobs are at the mo if we have to call them in they could be funny.
anyhow I am changing my union, as over the past few months there had been a lot of consultation re Job Evaluation, I have yet to see a Unison rep, got all my info from GMB, so I think I shall be changing over, or just opt out all together, and if in bother go to a good solicitor _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

These days, there's little point belonging to a UK trade union when working for a large company or the civil service. Any collective agreements negotiated by the unions will usually end up benefitting all employees regardless of union membership, plus unions rarely have any teeth or motivation when it comes to taking on employers in respect of a single employee's grievance. They also rarely provide legal advice or representation of any real merit.
So at the end of the day, it comes down to whether you like to have a few extra days unscheduled holiday each year _________________ Legal Solutions both in Tenerife and in England or Wales? To be one hell of a lot of money down for two days off must mean that you're earning megabucks when you're working! _________________ .

Yeah, civil servants these days, money for old rope .....
I'm thinking about applying for one of those positions that The Sun were laughing about the other week, something like "Local Community Logistics and Coordination Liaison Officer". It was paying over £30,000 p/a, so it is obviously something of infinite benefit to society as a whole
Only problem is that I'm not an asylum seeker, disabled or from an ethnic minority, hence I'm automatically discriminated against when I apply. Oh well, its back to McDonalds for me then .....
