Post subject: Performers on the last night of the fiesta |
|

The fiesta del Carmen appears to have finally ended although they have left the decorations up so maybe there's another one coming soon!
Here are a couple of pics of the excellent acoustic performers they had playing and singing on what I think was the last night. There were people going up and singing acapella too. I found it all very inspiring and am seriously considering trying to write a song in Spanish so next time I can say can I have a spot please!

So my driving around in a car, thirty odd years ago, sporting a sticker proclaiming, "Keep Music Live" did mean something after all Bard.
Good pictures again, Steven. Thanks for posting them. _________________ Don't follow the 'MySpaceTenerife' link under my avatar because you will learn nothing about me.

Thank you and I really did enjoy their songs even if I couldn't understand them! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Wasn't that the slogan of the 'Musicians union'? _________________

I used to know a musician that was in the union in the UK and I'm sure he instilled into me this fact. I still believe in 'Keep music live', no matter how bad it is......it's still live' and so much better than vinyl or CD or whatever the next format will be.
Mind you, I am talking about real musicians, some I've seem on Tenerife are a little tentative (not referring to you Bard as I've never met or heard you) but I'm sure you know what I mean _________________

I know what you mean - the music isn't live, just the singing is! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |
