 Post subject: English radio talk shows on Tenerife? |

Could someone tell me about any English-language radio stations on Tenerife?
Or point me to where I can find the information?
I am especially interested to know about the radio talk shows.

there are a few.... powerfm, oasis fm, gold, holidayfm but none of them do talk shows.

Do any of those listed ever have guest interviews? |

Hi Seagull,
Well, earlier I asked about talk shows, but Rob said none of the stations have them.
Then I thought perhaps 'talk show' gives a different impression than what I meant. It might sound like a round-table discussion with multiple guests.
What I mean is a one-to-one 'chat' with a guest over the radio.

Your meaning was quite clear.... as I said they do not have guest interviews unless it's someone really well known to the public and even then they're usually taped excerpts.
No way of getting a free plug there

Yes, I suppose a radio interview with a guest could be seen as a free plug for the guest.
When I was interviewed on Costa del Sol stations, people in the audience called us and some became clients.
The stations considered the interviews to be a public service and informational entertainment.
I am interested in knowing the 'climate' for this type of thing on Tenerife, also to gain an understanding of my options in advance.
Knowing that the stations generally don't do guest interviews, I won't waste time and energy contacting them once on the island. That is helpful. Thank you! |
