Well.....most of you know what happened to me last year.
The weekend just gone was the anniversary of the murder and as a result was a slightly odd couple of days to say the least.
On the saturday (13th..the official recorded death date) we decided to have a few drinks and also we had been invited to someones birthday do. We didnt really want to go but thought we would pop our heads in and say hello.
Now....this bar in question used to be a lovely spanish place owned and run by a spanish bloke. He has since sold it to a very nice couple ..however its their first bar and they dont really know how to run it.
As a result its gone rather downhill and a few weeks ago it started turning into coke capital of bournemouth. A lad (in his 20s) approached Tony and started on him, basically heading for a fight.
We avoided the place but began to creep back.
So..on saturday, we were just crossing the threshhold, I was in the bar and realised Tony wasnt with me. This same lad got him at the door and wouldnt let him past, saying "do you know who I am.." etc...
Tony shouted at someone to do something about him and I dragged him away and out of the bar....
Little a**ehole ran after us down the street and was f-ing and blinding at tony, I ried to calm the situation and said " its a very bad weekend for this, please just leave us alone" and then he threatened tony with a knife!!!!!!
With the words "Iv got something for you"
SICK B*****d!!!!!
And of all the weekends!!!
I grabbed Tony again and we made a hasty exit and got into a bit of an old man pub where we tried to calm down.
Thing is, we found out today, that this lad is due in court in a month for slashing someone!
Im so worried. The bar is about 30 seconds from Ts flat and he is obviously not going to let Tony go. He also has a lot of "mates" so Im scared that one of them will follow us home one day...
What a horrible country this is! Twice now a man I love has been threatened with a knife, Im just so so so glad that this one didnt result in the same ending as the first one !! _________________ http://tufftoppers.jimdo.com/

I just cant believe people are like that. And its practically every day someone gets stabbed. Its horrible.
I never thought I would be in that situation again...proved me wrong!
I guess everyone should be on heightened awareness cos you never know these days. Even in broad daylight!

Sorry to hear of that happening to anyone, but especially after what you and Tony have been through!
When were on holiday the last 2 weeks, we didn't buy a paper, but walking past the shops with English papers on display and odd bits of news we heard on televisions, there seemed to be a different stabbing every day.
It really is unbelievable!!!
Just hurry up and get back home to Tenerife as soon as you can. _________________ Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. |

How awful. I don't know what to suggest, although I am sure it's not like that in all areas. Could Tony not move somewhere quiter / out of town? Would that be an option? I don't know the situation really but I would imagine that those things are more likely to happen in town. Or maybe I'm still a country-bumpkin at heart and have rose tinted spectacles on. He can't stay inside all the time and if this bloke has done it before he's likely to try again and you don't want to be looking over your shoulder every minute of the day. _________________ Who am I? You're right Jenny, I know its not like that everywhere...it does feel like it sometimes.
Problem is, Tonys flat is on the market so he can move over to tenerife with me, we are hoping it sells soon, then its just my shoulder which needs to be fixed before we go back home.
We dont really go out a whole lot these days as money is so tight, but its unfortunate that on the occasions that we do, we are looking over our shoulders. It was supposed to be a nice part of bournemlouth too, its not in the main town centre, its a sub district.
Real shame
We are flying over for a week in October after the wedding to house hunt and try and get some work lined up for tony.....fingers crossed we find somewhere, then we're laughing!

Steph, I'm so sorry to read of your recent troubles.
I am also shocked to learn how far Bournemouth has gone downhill. For a year I worked in The Quadrant Centre (opposite St Peter's Church,) and Mrs Seagull and I had a house in Christchurch close to the Cathrine Wheel. It was such a safe place to live in those days.
I really hope and pray that everything now is plain sailing. Here's to a happy wedding and to coming home. Every best wish to you and Tony. _________________ Don't follow the 'MySpaceTenerife' link under my avatar because you will learn nothing about me.

I'm so sorry to hear what happened really i am, I dont know how these people get away with it. When I eve start thinking about my future as a mother it scares the crap out of me. How times have changed so dramatically escapes me. It's a shame the world is becoming much more enduced by voilence. Gone are the days when I was a kid who thought it was really bad to lie to the teacher as to why you cant attend a PE lesson, now its 'normal' for kids to take knives to school
What is the world coming to x I hope your move speeds up for you x _________________ facebook me - esmahan hassan |
