 Post subject: The Mountain Rose |

The Mountain Rose or Rosa del Monte as it was labelled at El Botanico is known as Brownea coccinea by botanists and is an unusual tree.
Its leaves are eye-catching as they hang down in a group before they open fully. It has a red flower, hence the name but wasn't in bloom when I took this photo.
