So how exactly does one 'qualify' to be a medium? Can I take an exam?

I am genuinely interested too Spooky. For instance, can I study by distance learning? Is the coursework really scary? And will the spirits talk to me whilst I'm training, or is it strictly 'No qualifications, no contact'...?
In the meantime, I'm off to my favourite 'spirit world'....... my local bar !!

I am looking for a Spiritualist Church in the Santa Cruz area of Tenerife. English speaking if possible.
I work myself as a Medium and can work on the platform and run developement circles, if anyone is interested.
I also work as a spiritual Healer and have my own Website called HealerGeorge.

Spooky, Leanne and Healer George,
Interesting to hear your voices on spiritualism and Reiki.
Kati and I have some background in those departments also.
We will be on an island neighboring Tenerife by the end of September.

From my viewpoint, if you are qualified to be human, you are qualified to communicate with the spirit world.
It is as natural as breathing.
The same is true of energy healing, a broad term which includes Reiki.
Most people have lost their sensitivity to the subtle realms.
Anyone can regain it at any time in their lives, with a longing and pure motives.
Techniques and systems may seem to increase effectiveness, but it is only because they can give people more confidence to use the gifts they already carry.
Communicating with spirit and using life force energy for healing are vastly under-used human birthrights.
Sure, it is good to be guided at the beginning by someone with experience who you trust.
Discernment is essential to prevent becoming ungrounded or misguided.
One can also step into these areas by following their intuition and learning from their mistakes.
There are rewards, such as an expanded awareness of the richness and complexity of life.
