hello there.
this is my first post!

first of all, apologies for lack of capitals - it is just that my old computer did it automatically and this one doesn't and i am too lazy i suppose.
we have been looking for a forum where there is sensible and informative discussion and exchange of information and ideas - as well as a few lighthearted posts to cheer us all up generally.
we are what i think are called swallows. we spend our time in tenerife from november to may and then the summer months in france. we don't like the cold and aim never to buy another overcoat!
fortunately we are retired and don't need to be looking for work.
however, mr bubbles drums here in france and would really like to find a jamming session somewhere in tenerife on a regular basis.
i think he might be at a bit of a loose end this winter!
last winter he spent two or three mornings a week helping out voluntarily at the english school in san blas (near our apartment) and this has now closed down.
neither of us play golf or bowls although several of our new friends are still trying to persuade us.
just going to read the rest of this forum now.
eager to see what interests everyone.

Hi there Jean and welcome to our forum, when you post please don't hijack other posts but start a new one by clicking on 'new post' rather than reply to someone else's thread.

There are a few venues that have jamming sessions, Flicks bar in Costa del Silencio and Sunny days in the same place. Bardofely our resident musician will no doubt fill you in on more places. Perhaps we've got the beginnings of a group here
