Post subject: NIGHTLIFE/RESTAURANTS |
|
|
Visiting Las Americas with my daughter (23) for a long week end of sunshine end of Nov.
Been several times before but always on the look out for good restaurants in the area. Any recommendations?
Also we struggle to find some night life that suits us. Both like music/dancing and a lively atmosphere - Veronicas is too young for me (a very lively 50) and everywhere else seems to shut at mid night. Any recommendations where we could go where I wouldn't look out of place with a slightly more mature crowd (pre OAP's) |

| Perhaps the Banana garden in las americas would suit you. It's a restaurant with dance floor and live music. I'm not sure what time it closes but it could be 2 am. There's usually a string of men looking for partners to dance if yr interested. |

I would also recommend Leonardo's, the entertainment's good (wild boyz!!) and it's for all ages.
Los Angeles on the Patch is also good (by the Las Palmeras hotel), there's entertainment on and it's normally busy.
Another great place is the Soul Suite, near the Meditarranean Hotel. There's a number of bars along this strip, but the Soul Suite's the best. There's young people, families and grandparents down there. I've seen 80 year olds falling out of the irish bar here at 3 in the morning!
If you want something different, try Jazzisimo (opposite Leonardo's, down some steps). It's very classy and the live musicians are some of the best i've seen anywhere. The drinks are well priced for a upper class establishment. I'm a regular here, the atmosphere's great and it's open until around 4.30.

Hello everybody.
I visited the island, as a first visit during November 2005. I had a great time indulging the various delights that this sunny island has to offer.
I particularly enjoyed the evenings that I spent at the 'Player's Lounge' in Las Americas. I am a great fan of R&B and this place has the 'banging joints (rhythms) to knock the right spots'..... apparently.
After that it's cool to relax in one of the beach bars and have a slow roasted, full-blown moccha!!!..... |
