 Post subject: Apartment wanted |

Moving out to Tenerife in 6 weeks and we're looking for a 2bedroom apartment for long term let in los cristianos or americas. Was over there a few weeks ago and saw some in the paper. Can anyone tell me if it's better going through a letting agency? Any info will be great!!!

Hi Clare,
Welcome to the forum, if you go through an agency you'll be expected to pay 'key' money or 'contract fees' which usually amount to between half and one months rent so on a two bed in the central areas you'll be looking at a fee of between 350 to 750 plus one or two months deposit and a months rent in advance. It will help if you have references from landlords in UK. Let us know details and we'll help if we can. Do you have children, pets, any special requirements? Do you have to be in the tourist centres or just outside? |

Hi again,
We're not too fussed about being in the tourist areas of either and would prefer it if we're not but would like it within walking distance of either. We've got no pets, no kids and neither of us have any ref's as both living with parents. Need a two bedroom as it's myself and my friend. The only request we have is that we have some sort of balcony or terrace. |

| you'll find it difficult to find an aprtment without balcony or terrace. Many young people who do bar work share apartments but share bedrooms and even the floor to enable them to live cheaply because the money is so poor! |

Hello Clare.
Just found this site. Looks a good one. I have a large 1 bedroom in Las Americas with 2 beds in room and 2 put-up beds in living room.Normal sized balcony overlooking swimming pools and gardens and another huge balcony ( size of two big rooms ) to the side ov apartment.
I hope to build a conservatory there in the summer.
I let through an agent , rent is 550 euro per month includin bills and in advance. I don`t think he collects references or deposits.
Apartment became vacant on 4th mar an i want long let.
In complex and 3 mins to the beach.
