Post subject: Scrap a banger? |
Does anyone know what's involved in scrapping a foreign car brought to Tenerife? I fancy experiencing the journey right the way through from the UK, but I don't want to bring anything decent that I will get lumbered with re-matriculation taxes etc after 6 months. I'll be buying a decent car when I reach the island, so the best way seems to be to journey down in a banger and then dispose of it when I'm ready. Can you just pay £30 and take it to the breakers like in the UK, or is there more involved? Any advice is appreciated. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Yes you can take it to the scrap yard. I think they charge nothing for a foreign car. Easier than scrapping a local car _________________ .

Excellent! Thanks Rob. Now all I have to do is find a banger that will actually make it all the way to Cadiz. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |
