My name is Dror Philip. My family and I are thinking of moving to Tenerife for two years for a post-doc at Tenerife Uni.
I am looking for an alternative school for my 5 year old son.
Could you please tell me about such a school in Tenerife?

I reckon you just mean a different school from the one your child goes to now - is that right? But still you will have to specify which area you mean as there are hundreds of schools all over Tenerife. I guess you will be looking in La Laguna, as that is where the University is found. Please confirm all these details and then someone may be able to help.

By saying "alternative" I mean a school like "Montessori" school, or a "Waldorf" school.
It is fine if it is run in Spanish too.
The location of the school is better if in La Laguna.

You would make life far easier for us mere mortals if you explained what ''Montessori'' or ''Waldorf'' schools are or maybe I should do a search on the internet and study the subjects?

This is the genereal notion of school I am looking for in La Laguna, it does not have to be one of these only.
Generaly speaking, an alternative school would put less fucus on learning in frontal calsses but more on activities created by the kids and will give them opportunity to learn through their own experience and less through knowlege of the adults.

montessori schools ...........havent seen any out here.....used to work in nurseries and such like so know wot you are looking for lol..........

there are english and spanish nurseries but i only know the south
