Amarilla Golf Club - Arthur Robinson Trophy 2005
Sunday 4th December, another beautiful warm sunny day
in Tenerife, around 25 º C with a gentle breeze,
some good scores recorded but yours truly was not among
them. A delighted Glen Davies was in the winners frame
again, playing off scratch he came in at three under,
a fabulous score and as he told us in his winner’s
speech it was the first time ever that he had managed
a bogey free round on Amarilla golf course.
Maureen Lillico was playing in our group and was playing
so well that she managed to take the best front nine prize
despite FOUR putting twice in her front nine! A day of
if onlys for Maureen. Claus Agerscov, Od Waage and Ronan
Wilcox had their usual front nine back nine and overall
wager, Ronan having carded a net 81 was ready to shell
out only to discover that he’d taken all the money
with 8 shots spare!
The usual ‘half’ presentation was held in
the clubhouse followed by lunch.
