Pam Cowan greensome mixed open.
Amarilla Golf Club held the annual greensome mixed open sponsored as usual by Jeff and Pam Cowan on Sunday 6th March. Defending champions Dave and Jean Hill came to visit once again and for once this pairing (or at least half of the pair) was not on top form. Alan and Midge Watson set a blistering pace (Alan must have done as he was told again!) to leave the rest of the field fighting for second place. Brian Roe and Maureen Blanchard looked as though they were going to challenge after the front nine but quietly (Brian and Maureen?) slid down the order to allow others to take the limelight. As usual the day was rounded off by drinks and a meal in the clubhouse.
