Amarilla golf club Tecina trip.
In April a group of 16 intrepid explorers from Amarilla golf club in Tenerife decided to take a trip abroad to play some golf. Arrangements were made and the travellers caught the ferry to the neighbouring island of La Gomera to play the course at Tecina. Competition was fierce, not as is usual to endeavour to come first but to avoid coming last as Captain Ian Sharp had concocted a somewhat unusual ‘winners’ hat which had to be worn for pre-dinner drinks. This was ‘won’ by lady members on both days who sportingly ignored the effects on hairstyles and were duly photographed for posterity.
