Sunday 27th August saw a full house turn out for the annual ‘Old Bill’ Trophy on a hot but breezy day. The competition was once again sponsored by Bill and Gerry Braithwaite of Aries bar on Amarilla Golf, Old Bill Ashall’s old watering hole.

Isaac, head Green keeper’s retirement
Isaac the very popular head green keeper from Amarilla Golf and Country Club Tenerife held a retirement party on Sunday 20th August. Many members of Amarilla Golf Club and friends and family of Isaac played a Stableford best two from four team game with a shotgun start at 9.00 AM, unfortunately this was rather too early for some of his Spanish friends who couldn’t get out of bed at this time on a Sunday morning.

Residents versus Swallows 2006
Amarilla Golf Club held the annual Residents versus Swallows (this year known as ‘the rest’) on Sunday 19th February 2006, it was as usual a better ball format with Alan Watson as Captain of the Residents and John Brockbank as Captain of the Swallows.
