Sun4Free.com was formed in 2004 by two completely different characters. Firstly a brief history of the technical director and the brains of the outfit; Andy Szuchnicki was born in Poland on a small farm in the East of the country not far from the border with Belarus. At the age of twelve he first touched a computer and his interest was immediately aroused, so much so that his parents managed to find the funds to buy him a PC of his own for his fourteenth birthday. Some of Andy’s earliest memories of his then quite slow computer were thoughts of why and how a computer worked in the way that it did. His introduction to the internet went along a similar vein and it wasn’t long before he started to ask why certain sites appeared in his search results much more quickly and with greater frequency. This inspired his search for more knowledge and his application for, and acceptance into, the newly formed centre of computer excellence in Warsaw (PJWSTK).

The centre of computer excellence is a joint venture between the governments of Poland and Japan whereby the Japanese government brought over equipment and instructors to teach the brightest pupils the latest facets of all computer technologies. Andy decided early on to study Japanese as well as his computer course in order to be able to converse with his instructors in their own language, unfortunately learning Japanese is not as straight forward as computer language where everything is 0 or- so speaking to his masters in their own language will take a little longer than anticipated.

Andy’s studies at university are continuing, at the same time as working as a partner in Sun4Free.com where his outstanding abilities at search engine optimization are utilized, he is also taking a further degree in ’psychology and the internet’ at SWPS university, again in Warsaw. Thankfully the internet gives constant communication between Warsaw and Tenerife meaning that apart from his time during lectures he is able to converse with his partner Rob Carless with ease.

Rob Carless has lived in Tenerife for eighteen years (please don’t ask me if I like it here!) and is responsible for the less technical side of website construction as well as the day to day running of the business. My only real claim to fame is that of being able to recognize the real talent of my partner and understanding the importance of his skills both for the present market and especially so for the future. To give an example, searching in Google for ‘Tenerife property’, the most important keyword shows up 837,000 results No. 2 of which is for one of our sites, this from a company less than 6 months old must surely prove that somebody knows what he is doing.
