Callao Salvaje, Sunshine, Peace & a Wonderful Way of Life
Callao Salvaje is one of the prettiest and quieter areas of Tenerife situated on the south west coast of the island in Costa Adeje. Close to the busier resorts such as Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos, it’s a perfect spot for the holiday maker who wishes to dip in and out of the more hectic destinations. Its' many beautiful beaches and constant sunshine are only part of what makes this holiday resort one you want to keep coming back to. As one of the islands newest resorts it is easy to find reasonably priced accommodation whatever your preference. This small fishing village has undergone a big transformation in recent years and has plenty of amenities nearby such as supermarkets, bars, restaurants and is a twenty minute drive from the airport.
There is going to be a beach in Callao Salvaje soon and Callao Salvaje is only a few minutes’ drive to Fanabe which has its own man-made beaches and it is within a good distance to most of the other attractions the island has to offer. There are a lot of nice properties for sale in the area and most start from around €90,000. Typically these would be apartments with one bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and usually include a small garden. Larger properties in the same price bracket would more than likely require some restoration work. Town houses fall within the €160,000 bracket and would normally have a couple of bedrooms and pool views.
As with most areas in Tenerife it is easy to get to most of the main attractions. Water sports are very popular here and so are the many boat trips that are available to see dolphins and whales swimming in their natural environment. Siam Water Park is one of the most spectacular in Europe and includes many water rides, a wave machine, beaches, water market and places to eat. It’s easy to get to by car or bus and has its very own free Siam Park bus service.
Callao Salvaje is fast becoming one of the most popular places for people to relocate to on a permanent basis and this is hardly surprising because properties there are not only well priced but are also very attractive options that offer a quieter Tenerife. Its location is ideal too and being a short distance away from all amenities and shops, it offers people a wonderful way of life on an island.
