A short drive from the Airport and enroute to Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas lies the residential area of Golf Del Sur.
The 'Golf' as it is known by the locals was created aound the challenging golf course which comprises of three sets of 9 holes. There is also an 18 hole course at Amarilla within walking distance.
Despite its name the area is certainly not just for golfers there are some lovely holiday complexs in the area.
On the west side of 'The Golf' there is a new marina, this is still being developed but already boasting a promenade of restaurants and shops right on the sea front, also with diving and boating opportunities.
There are a wide selection of Bars and Restaurants.
The main San blas square has some excellant restaurants and bars and live free entertainment.
Children are welcome in all restaurants and well catered for.
There is also a wide range of other activities to keep you busy from bowling at Winter Gardens, health spas, gyms,mini golf , and horse riding. The local bus service will take you anywhere from Santa Cruz in the north to the golden sandy beaches of Los Cristianos and Las Americas only a few miles away in the South.
There is also a lovely fishing village Los Abrigos a short stroll away where you will get the real feel of Tenerife and some excellent fish restaurants.
