Playa Paraiso in Tenerife
Playa Paraiso in Tenerife is the quieter neighbor to Playa de las Americas and Los Gigantes and lies on the south western coast of Tenerife. This small resort is located next to three sheltered bays and offers a few bars and restaurants. Although the resort is small it is near to the more bustling areas of the island which are easy to get to thanks to a regular bus service.
The main attraction in Playa Paraiso is the lagoon style pool area known as the lido or Lago Paraiso which is situated behind the small pebbly beach and central bay. The beaches themselves are ideal for snorkelling and diving, you may even be lucky enough to see turtles, pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins.
Properties in this coastal town include apartments, town houses and villas and the price ranges are broad. Many of the villas for sale in the area are quite expensive (around €359,000) but feature furnished fittings and terrace areas with ocean views. Apartments there are much more reasonably priced at €60,000 but are generally part of tall apartment blocks. If you want to rent a property in the area the prices are much more reasonable and you can get a nice modern apartment with good facilities from €180 per week.
Playa Paraiso like of Tenerife guarantees a wonderful way of life and a very sunny all year round climate and the great thing about this area is that it is not that far from the big sandy beaches and lively night life, so if you feel like joining the crowds then you can head off to one of the more popular resorts such as Playa de las Americas to spend a little bit of time among the masses. This is where you'll enjoy the buzz of a typical holiday destination.
Los Cristianos is another nice choice if you prefer busier spots and offers colourful harbours, little shops and pavement cafés where you can watch the world go by and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the place. That's the real beauty of Tenerife, some areas like Playa Paraiso offer you a lovely peaceful ambiance whereas others like Playa de las Americas are much more vibrant both day and night. This is one of the reasons that many people have found that Tenerife is not only a superb holiday destination, but also a wonderful place to move to on a more permanent basis.
